In an effort to provide 'one stop shopping' for citizens of Lethbridge and to provide only one survey to the candidates, Lethbridge Accountability invited groups to join us in the creation of one survey for the 2017 municipal election. Overwhelmingly, we received very favourable responses. Information about each group is listed below in alphabetical order.

  • Aerris - Managing Solutions

    With 12 years experience at the municipal level, coupled with teaching experience at the post secondary level, Aerris has a full appreciation for the inner workings of public organizations. They are able to identify common municipal issues, develop solutions and empower both elected officials and employees to find effective purpose in their jobs with the aim of better serving the community.

  • Allied Arts Council

    The Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge was established on March 20, 1958 and works to encourage, coordinate and promote the arts in Lethbridge & area. The Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge mission is to provides leadership in advancing and enhancing the arts in Lethbridge.

  • Arches

    Arches is a volunteer-based not-for-profit organization that provides leadership in building individual and community capacity to respond and reduce the harm associated with HIV and Hepatitis C in South-Western Alberta.

  • Canadian Home Builders Association (CHBA) - Lethbridge

    The CHBA is a member based non-profit organization incorporated in 1982 that strives to enhance the residential construction industry through local initiatives, partnerships, education and municipal lobbying activities.
    Members of the CHBA are invested in and care about the community they call home. Members understand that being in business is not enough and so are active in the community through a number of initiatives and programs.

  • Chamber of Commerce - Lethbridge

    The Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce is active in our region, working as The Voice of Business to advocate for you and to provide opportunities to connect with important officials, business leaders, peers and prospective clients. At the Chamber, we strive to provide our members with channels to have influence with all levels of government. ​

  • Downtown Lethbridge Business Revitalization Zone

    Downtown Lethbridge is a visionary collective of business leaders who believe that the heart of the city beats in its centre core. The organization they formed in 1987, the Downtown Lethbridge Business Revitalization Zone (BRZ), has succeeded, through close co-operation on mutual interests, in adding the necessary vibrancy to make that heart beat with a strong and steady pulse. By promoting the downtown business community as a viable economic district, while retaining its predominant historical flavour, Downtown Lethbridge has brought the area back to the prominence it once enjoyed in the city’s economic and social life.

  • Environment Lethbridge

    Environment Lethbridge inspires and equips people to create widespread community action and engagement towards sustainability.

    Environment Lethbridge vision is a community council that involves citizens, organizations and businesses as well as City Council in environmental stewardship and innovation in Lethbridge; a council that provides insight and direction toward environmental sustainability in developing policy advice, planning, and education.

  • Lethbridge & District Labour Council

    The Lethbridge & District Labour Council represents the interests of Lethbridge and Area affiliated workers in several occupational fields. It is the umbrella organization for several local affiliated unions.

    We advocate on behalf of all working people in many different ways – from organizing campaigns and rallies, to lobbying politicians, to speaking out in the media and to business on key issues, to representing Lethbridge's labour movement, to developing partnerships with the community.

    Our goals are simple – what we wish for ourselves, we desire for all.

    That includes decent wages, healthy and safe workplaces, fair labour laws, equality rights, dignity in retirement, a sustainable environment and respect for basic human rights.

    We believe that unions are a positive force for democratic social change – and that by working together we can improve our society for everyone.

  • Lethbridge Public Library

  • No Drilling Lethbridge

    We are a small volunteer group of Lethbridge residents working to protect the health and safety of the people in Lethbridge, by being opposed to oil drilling and fracking within OUR city limits. We believe that the risks for Lethbridge greatly outweigh the benefit of acquiring the natural resource. We are not opposed to oil and gas exploration, generally. We are concerned about the negative impacts on OUR city and its residents if oil and gas drilling is allowed inside OUR city limits.

  • OUTreach Southern Alberta

    The OUTreach Southern Alberta Society responds to the needs of the local and the broader lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, two-spirit, and queer (LGBTTQ) community of Lethbridge and the surrounding area by supplying resources, education and opportunities to foster self-determination, civic engagement and community participation.
